Welcome to the lab Yuanning and Tina! Best of luck!
Check out our new short summary about recent findings on stem cell responses to stretch and strain, with Zico Bhattacharya, Ramesh Shivdasani & Ruby Shalom-Feuerstein – https://www.sciencedirect.com/science/article/pii/S0962892421002099
We are happy to welcome Danielle Regev to the lab. Danielle will be a joint student with Prof. Ofer Binah. Good luck!
Congrats to Malak and Lidan on the publication of their review article on The ‘Yin and Yang’ of Cancer Cell Growth and Mechanosensing – https://www.mdpi.com/2072-6694/13/19/4754
Congratulations to Lea on the acceptance of her paper to Science Advances!!!
In this paper, titled ‘Cellular contractile forces are non-mechanosensitive’, we studied the time evolution of cellular contractile forces and show that they are generated by time-dependent actomyosin contractile displacements that are independent of the environment’s rigidity. Consequently, contractile forces are non-mechanosensitive. We further show that the force-generating displacements are directly related to the evolution of the actomyosin network near the adhesions.
